Dan and I had a random weekend away from Basel, which coincidentally coincided with US Thanksgiving. It was our first trip to a Scottish city and it really lived up to our expectations.
I am finally getting this adventure down in ones and zeros! I caught a nasty cold on the flight home, so I haven’t been up to doing much at all lately. However, I am now feeling better (not 100%, but getting there) and the words are slowly filling the page.
The first page is not, however, about Bhutan. Before getting there we had to go through Bangkok. I tried to paint it in a good light but I just couldn’t do it. To those of you who love this city, I apologize. To everyone else, I present to you: my own view of Bangkok.
A family trip (by car!) to the Alsace region to enjoy some sightseeing and wine tasting.
Dan and I take four days to visit the Normandy coast. There have been better holiday trips in my past, but I’m still glad that I got the change to explore this French Region.
Dan and I explore this vibrant European city. Come along and join us! Four pages, with lots of photos and external links.
A short, wet and interesting trip to visit the twin towns of Laufenburg.
It was short, but it was really nice to get out of the apartment for a little bit. And while we learned a few things, we also left with some questions.
Dan and I took the train to Heidelberg for a couple of days. The weather was horrible but the company of our friends more than made up for it. Also, I’ll never leave “the good camera” home again!
We finally did it! We signed up for and completed a two day “off road enduro” training. Not everything went as planned, but I still deem it a success!
I’m a little out of order in my postings, but I got side tracked by wanting to posts the photos from the Eiger hike right away. And now, still in time for autumn festivals, is a wine tasting trip through the Alsace.
The adventure continues… We pick up where we left off from our motorcycle trip to Calais.
