…motorcycle style!!!
Dan and I, and our friend Bob, decided that we should see more of the Alps. We took the weekend to visit the Jura Mountains and a bit of the French Alps. The weather was just about perfect, although the heat was a little much at times.
I took the day to explore the area south of Basel, down along the Swiss/French border. It was even more pleasant than I expected! I took a LOT of photos because I just couldn’t get over how every single road was so picturesque and entertaining. To go for a six hour ride and never once get bored really is something to crow about!
Our friends Aaron and Craig are still visiting and since we showed them quite a bit of Switzerland, it was time to cross some borders. We spent two days touring around the Alsace Wine region, handily just half an hour away from Basel by car. There was no set plan; just drive along the wine route and stop wherever our fancy took us.
Dan and I got out over the weekend and saw some cool stuff. I have made two new pages, one for Pre-Fasnacht and another one for a hike we took in France to a castle on a hill.
In addition, I’ve been continuing to re-work the layout of the Swiss part of the website, adding more/different drop down menus. So far, the “Other” category is the only one to see any change.
