Skiing in Adelboden
Dan and I went for a day of skiing, knowing that we need plenty of practice to get up-to-speed on our skills. Hopefully this is just the first of many more such trips.
What to see at the Bodensee?
Dan and I and our friend Bob took a ride over to the Bodensee. The weather wasn’t entirely cooperative, but we did what we had hoped to do and had a good time doing it. We stopped at Touratech and then visited the Zeppelin Museum in Freidrichshafen, Germany. So much history!
Autumn’s Alpine Splendor
With fantastic weather forecasted, Dan and I took the motorcycles into the Alps, taking in the three closest passes to make it a full day. Eight hours of fun in the sun that lead to some incredible views. Enjoy!
A Cold Attempt at Exploring the Jura with Dan
The sun was deceptive – it was cold outside. We stuck to it for a couple of hours but finally slunk home to hot chocolate and fondue.
Half-day ride through the Jura Mountains
Rain was in the forecast for the weekend so I snuck out of Basel for a few hours and got in short ride. Perfect weather – I wonder how long that will last?
Lovely Liechtenstein
A random weekend ride, this time to two new countries!
Passwang – on foot!
Dan and I explored my favorite local riding pass, but this time we were on foot. It wasn’t the best of weather, but we had a great time.
Passwang II
I took a couple of hours to check out Passwang Pass – again – and the pass I’d been told about on the other side of the ridge. It was another beautiful day in Switzerland and the green hills made for an excellent backdrop to some excellent roads.
Introducing a new activity!
While I could probably ride my motorcycle every day, all day around here, it really isn’t feasible. Besides, there are so many other things to do and see while not on a motorcycle. Dan and I decided to give the alpine mountaineering sport of “klettersteig” a chance. Here’s our first try at it.
